Chemring Group PLC is delighted to have won the ‘KPMG Company of the Year’ award in the 2009 Hampshire Business Awards. Paul Rayner, Finance Director accepted the award for Chemring and remarked, “To be named ‘KPMG Company of the Year’ is a great honour. This award demonstrates the lengths Chemring has gone to in achieving exceptional performance over the past four years through its focused strategy, successful acquisitions and innovation. However, none of this success would have been achieved without the excellent people within the Chemring Group of companies”.
This award category looked for the best overall business in Hampshire and at every aspect of how a company is run from its staffing through to its financing. Key elements that the judges were looking for included a strong financial track record, the ability to think strategically, keep abreast of new developments and illustrate plans for future growth. Chemring Group PLC is headquartered in Hampshire, and has a long association in the county throughout its hundred year history.
