Kilgore Flares Company LLC, Toone, TN, February 3 – The United States Army Contracting Command at Rock Island Arsenal has awarded Kilgore Flares Company, LLC ("Kilgore") a contract modification to manufacture additional Air Force MJU-7A/B and Air Force / Army M206 infrared (IR) decoy flares in support of self protection systems for various Air Force and Army platforms.
These conventional pyrotechnic decoys are designed to provide seduction protection against heat-seeking missiles for numerous aircraft including the F-16, A-10, C-130, and numerous rotary wing aircraft. Additionally, the M206 is a key ingredient in the multi-flare solution used on most US Army helicopters.

Kilgore manufactures the MJU-7A/B and M206 decoys in its automated IR Grain complex and state-of-the-art flare assembly facilities. Kilgore expects to complete this contract by 1st Quarter 2010.
