Toone, TN, October 1, 2007 – The United States Government DoD, NSWC Crane, has awarded Kilgore Flares Company, LLC ("Kilgore") a multi-year IDIQ contract worth an expected value of $20.35 million for the MK25 Mod 3 Marine Location Marker, and a multi-year IDIQ contract worth $9.80 million for the MK58 Marine Location Marker (MLM). These firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery / indefinite-quantity contracts span over a five year period. Kilgore's proven design for the MLM product line is safe, effective, and reliable. In addition to providing its MLM product line to the US DoD, Kilgore provides its family of marking / signaling devices to numerous NATO countries such as Australia.

The MK25 Mod 3 Marine Location Marker is designed for use in air and sea rescue operations as a target marker or as a surface wind indicator. It provides the Warfighter with safe and effective smoke and flame pyrotechnics for use in search and rescue (SAR) operations; man-overboard operations; anti-submarine warfare and target identification. Work will be performed at Kilgore's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Toone Tennessee, and is expected to be completed by September 2012.

The MK58 Marine Location Marker is a larger longer lasting marker that functions in the same general capacity as the MK25 MLM.
