Subsidiaries of Chemring Group PLC (“Chemring”) in the US have received US$43 million of new orders, primarily from the United States Government, increasing the Group’s US defence order book to over US$103 million.

Kilgore Flares Company LLC, based in Tennessee, has received new orders valued at US$22 million for point source magnesium decoys which are used to protect military aircraft from missile attack. These decoys are manufactured in Kilgore’s advanced manufacturing facilities located in Toone, Tennessee.

Alloy Surfaces Company, Inc., based in Philadelphia, has received new orders valued at US$17 million from the United States Government for aircraft decoys incorporating its proprietary infra red special materials and US$4 million of orders for its innovative BOL infra red (IR) decoy from the UK Ministry of Defence.

Chemring is the international market leader in expendable decoys used to protect military fixed wing aircraft and helicopters from missile attack, and is the largest supplier of these products in the US. Its products were used extensively in protecting coalition forces in Iraq.
