Chemring Group PLC (“Chemring”) is pleased to announce that its US subsidiary, Alloy Surfaces Company, Inc., based in Chester Township, Philadelphia, has been awarded two new contracts by the US Navy for the supply of special material infra-red decoys. The two contracts are worth $10 million. The first contract, which is valued at $3.8 million, is for the supply of 154,000 MJU-52/B special material decoys for use with the BOL dispenser system. The second contract, worth $6.2million, is for 50,000 MJU-49 flares, which will be used on various aircraft. Both contracts are for delivery in 2003.
