Chemring Group PLC Announces New Defence Orders and Record Order Book in First Two Months of its New Financial Year

Chemring Group's defence businesses have received new defence orders in the first two months of their new financial year, valuing £22 million, increasing the defence order book to record levels:
Naval Decoys orders of £10 million
The Dutch Navy has placed an order for a significant quantity of NATO Seagnat 130 mm calibre Radio Frequency (RF) Rounds.
The Royal Danish Navy has placed an order for a significant number of a new proprietary Dual Mode 130mm calibre decoy rounds. The decoy round, known as CHIMERA, is a dual Infra Red (IR) and Radio Frequency (RF) decoy using the latest passive decoy IR & RF technology, to defeat both current and future single and dual (IR & RF) mode anti-ship missile seekers.
The CHIMERA decoy is the latest generation within the family of 130mm "Seagnat" calibre rounds and is designed for lower "signature" warships. When used with a modern decoy launching systems, the combination provides the most cost effective means of ship self protection against IR and RF anti-ship missiles".
Aircraft Decoy orders of £10 million
Aircraft Infra Red (IR) decoy orders have been received from UK, Italy and USA Air Forces. The USAF order on Chemring Group's US subsidiary Alloy Surfaces is the first production order for decoys developed in support of the United States' Advanced Strategic and Tactical Expendables (ASTE) programme for both Air Force and Naval aircraft.
Military Pyrotechnics of £5 million
Significant military pyrotechnic orders have been received from the UK MOD for Signalling Kits and a NATO country for Armoured Vehicle protection products.
