Chemring’s Energetics division comprises of twelve businesses and manufactures pyrotechnics, medium and large calibre ammunition, pyromechanisms, and key elements of explosive trains, from initiators through to propellant charges, rocket motors and disruptors.

BDL Systems Limited is based in Poole, UK, and manufactures radio frequency initiators and hard-wired exploders used for the remote detonation of demolition charges, primarily for bomb disposal.

Chemring Australia Pty Ltd is based in Victoria, Australia, and supplies a range of pyrotechnic countermeasure, military training and marine safety products.

Chemring Defence comprises of Chemring Defence UK Ltd, based in Draycott near Derby, UK, the leading supplier of training, signaling and illumination products to the UK MoD; and Chemring Defence Germany GmbH, based in Bremerhaven, the leading German manufacturer of pyrotechnics for marine safety, battlefield simulation, signal and illumination products and minefield breaching systems.

Chemring Energetics UK Ltd is based on the Ardeer Peninsula in Scotland and in Corsham, UK and specialises in the design and manufacture of energetic materials, rocket motors, actuated devices and demolition stores.

Chemring Marine Ltd is based in Fareham, UK and is the world’s leading supplier of Marine Distress Signals to the commercial and leisure markets, under the brand names of Pains Wessex and Comet.

Chemring Nobel AS High Energy Materials is based in Saetre, Norway, and manufactures and supplies RDX and HMX, and other niche energetic materials for explosives and propellant applications.

Kilgore Flares Company LLC is based in Toone, Tennessee, and manufactures pyrotechnic and ammunition products, as well as expendable decoys for Air and Sea platforms.

Richmond EEI Ltd, based in Norfolk, UK, is a leading manufacturer of disruptors and other equipment for the safe neutralisation of Improvised Explosive Devices (“IEDs”) and unexploded ordnance.

Simmel Difesa S.p.A. is based in Colleferro, Italy and is a leading supplier of medium calibre ammunition and components including fuzes, safety and arming devices, warheads and modular charges.

Technical Ordnance Inc is based in South Dakota and manufactures initiators, impulse cartridges, safety and arming components, and cutting charges.
